We've been using Mark's Volvo for a couple of years, now, with my wife's 2006 S60. She used to always go the dealer route because, well, just because that was her comfort zone. Understandable. But as the car eventually came off warranty (extremely low mileage), I suggested it would probably be smart to find a local independent. Although Mark's is a bit further than we'd prefer to drive for routine maintenance (we're in Woodland Hills), it sure is nice working with a local shop, building a real-world person-to-person relationship.Mark's has handled our routine maintenance as well as the occasional odd stuff, and so far so good. He knows Volvos for sure, and his prices are fair...always less than the dealer. Last visit he said he is now handling Toyotas, so I'll be checking in soon enough with my 04 Scion XB.Dealing with Mark's is like doing business the old fashioned way. Competent, pleasant and professional. He, his wife and his staff are easy to work with and they stand behind their work. Good people, all around.
